Backing Up Your Files

Unread post by Z Zamolodchikova »

Hi all,

New poster, so forgive me if this has been asked, but If I wanted to extract and save files I created in H+M, as backup files, would I just have to save the project in the shared format, or is there another way to go about this? I have been creating all my content from stratch and H+M, and I realize this might have been a terrible idea.

Thanks.

If you're backing up your project files you haven't done anything wrong, not to worry. 8)

To back up your project you just need to make a backup copy of the .hmxz file if you are using the compressed, single-file format, or a backup copy of your entire project folder if you are using the uncompressed .hmxp format. Alternatively, you can just use Save As... in the File menu to make a backup of an uncompressed project in the single-file HMXZ format. However, not that this won't include any additional files and folders you may have added to your project folder.
