automatic numbering

In Webhelp and PDF, there is an notion of automatic numbering of the TOC that works great.

Is there a way, with a variable to create the same notion within H&M on the heading1 (topic headings) that can be used in CHM?

Or is this tantamount to requiring time travel to '90s to revise CHM?

Unfortunately, the automatic numbering option isn't available for CHM. Sorry about that...

Note: It's not that it wouldn't be possible, it's just that up to now our developers have felt it wasn't needed in CHM. I can't promise anything, but if you post a suggestion for it in the Wish List section it might get onto the ToDo List. It's always better if it comes directly from a user/customer.
