We are investigating what it would take to replace our existing wiki tool (MeadiWiki) with a HAT to realase web help.
Obviously this would involve substantial restructuring of the content (approx 1300 articles) but it would still be a help if a tool converting from wkiki format to XML was available.
So two questions:
1) Is a conversion tool, wiki format to Help&Manuual XML, available?
2) Is Help&Manual XML format standard, according to the 1.0 specification? (if yes, this might make it possible to create our own conversion).
Best regards,
Dorte Jacobsen
(on a side note: I haven't used H&M for the past couple of years but am looking forward to seeing what's new in the product )

Re: Convert from wiki format to XML
It's not going to be easy but if you have 1300 articles to convert it's worth trying the XML route. As far as I can see, the MediaWiki XML "Special:Export" format could be a good starting point (see sample export of H&M article). The MediaWiki export schema is documented here and methods for exporting are described here.
If you have the Pro edition of Help & Manual, the XML format is described in "Helpman_XML_Ref.chm" in the program installation directory.
