Open Help&Manual Project with specific topic

Unread post by jbabonics »

I would like to call my Help & Manual project so that a specific topic is opened directly.
eg. \\Server\path\HELPMAN.EXE "\PathtoProject\Project.hmxz" "topicX"
Is there any way to do this?

This isn't possible with a command line option containing a topic reference. That interface is designed for publishing projects from the command line. You would have to include a project name, not a topic name, along with command line switches for the output format you want to create and the path and name of the file you want to generate.

What you can do is set Help+Manual to re-open the last project worked on when you start, and it will then also go to the last topic you were working on. The setting for this is in View > Program Options > General: Open last project(s) on start.
