Hi Andrey,

I haven't looked at it but the most common problem is trying to import an RTF file that was not created with Word. If you have an RTF created by another program you must always load it in Word and then re-save it before importing. Otherwise you will usually have problems.

I have the same issue, I'm currently on a trial version of H+M 7 and it won't import my rtf file, my licensed H+M 6 can import it without issue??

Did you re-save the RTF file in Word before importing? That's essential if it was created in any other program. You have to make some small change to make Word save it -- add a space somewhere or something like that -- otherwise it may do nothing when you select Save.

If you continue to have problems please pack the RTF file in a zip (they're very bloated otherwise) and mail it to support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @) and we'll check it for you.

Yes, I had to split up the document (legacy word document that I inherited :? ) into smaller files before Word 2016 wanted to save it as rtf, but I was able to save it from Word.

I figured it out, I need to :
1. open my word doc
2. save as rtf
3. open my rtf (with word)
4. make a small change and save again[/list]

and then it will import correctly in HM7.

If don't perform step 3. and 4. the file will only be imported correctly in HM6.
In HM7 it will import to a single, empty topic.

Hi Anelotte,

Thanks a lot for reporting this. I can't reproduce it directly but we will analyze it and see what we can find out. What version of Word are you using?

Hi Anelotte,

We can duplicate that it imports as a single topic in Help+Manual. The topic is not really empty - just the text is all white. If you press CTRL+A to select all text in the topic, you will see the imported text.

However, we did not notice a different behaviour in H&M v6. It imports in exactly the same way in version 6 as it does in version 7.
