"Extract" the command line parameters?

Unread post by Christian Kessner »

When generating a publish batch file, the parameter consists, except for the project path, of only the name of the task and the publishing type, e.g. "/tsk=TEST:TEST Webhelp"
Is it possible somehow to "extract" or view in any way, the real parameters that are used when this parameter is entered?
We want to include the creation of the manuals in our build system, and while I know that we can create all parameters for ourselves, it would surely be nice to see the parameter set of the existing configuration and only make some modifications (if necessary).

Hi Christian,

Sorry, this isn't possible because a publishing task isn't actually using the command line. When you call a task Help+Manual is really running the task, in the same way that it would when you publish the task manually from within Help+Manual itself. It doesn't need to use the command line -- that would be redundant, since it already has all the information it needs and doesn't need to get it from the CLI :?
