ewriter publish problem
Tim,
I am looking at the ewriter output. When publishing using a new V3 ewriter skin I have the following error message:
<%TABLE_OF_CONTENTS%> variable missing in Content template!
I have tried to find some things in the manual but can't see anything I should do to make it work.
Can you help?
Thanks.
Regards,
Paul

Re: ewriter publish problem
Hi Paul,
That simply means that the skin has been damaged -- for example someone tried to edit the skin and activate the Layout template, which does not exist in WebHelp version 3. If you do that the skin will be made unusable and you will get exactly that error message. Try again with a fresh, unedited copy of the skin and you should find that it works.

Tim,
I haven't touched the skin. I just tried again and chose another one, but same error.

Re: ewriter publish problem
I just double-checked this with a new download and installation and it's working fine. What version of Help+Manual are you using? You must be using the current version to use the new skins. This should be at least 7.3, and for the new functions you need to be using 7.3.2.Paul Elbertse wrote:I haven't touched the skin. I just tried again and chose another one, but same error.

Tim,
Do I need to setup some things in order to make this work?
I just used a test project and published with this V3 ewriter skin and of course chose E-book (exe) as publish format.

That should be fine. Just grab the update to the current version of Help+Manual here and you should be good to go:Paul Elbertse wrote:Do I need to setup some things in order to make this work?

Re: ewriter publish problem
Hi Paul,
I just double-checked: Only the current 7.3.2 version of Help+Manual now includes support for EWriter with the new V3 format. That is the problem you are experiencing -- you need both the new skins and the version of Help+Manual that supports them. Have a nice weekend!

Re: ewriter publish problem
Tim,
Just did a quick test.
Result:
Absolutely fantastic, works like a charm and very fast.
I om only going to see if I can change the default height, width and maybe also the positioning of the window.
Congrats to you on this very nice output.
