WebHelp config On load expand all entries -- doesn't

Unread post by Dave Gehman »

Webhelp output configuration is set to open all entries.
This is what I get:

If all were open, it would be like this, and a lot more:

How do I get them all to be open when the user opens the help Web site? I'm using a copy of the PPT skin WebHelp_SlateGrey.hmskin.

Hi Dave,

Are you sure you made that setting in the skin, and not in your project?

And did you save the skin after making it?

regards,

Martin.

Project.

Where, pray tell, is the switch in the Premium Pack Toolbox?

Hi Dave,

I don't know, but your screenshot shows a V2 skin, so you should be able to:

1. close the toolbox.
2. open the skin in H&M as if it is a project.
3. make the change.
4. save it.

regards,

Martin.

V2?

I selected visually. Now that you tell me it's V2, I see in the PPT 3.41 directories that it isn't a V3.

Meanwhile, I've brought the skin into H+M searched through all of it and can't find where to change this.

Hi Dave,

Here you go:

You do seem to be making heavy weather of everything? :(

cheers,

Martin.

I'm in hour 34 of a straight run. For me, at age 76, all weather is heavy once you enjoy enough sleep deprivation.

There is no way I could have found this (and the skin logo hotspot stuff) without your help.

Very much appreciated.

Age 76? I'm 70 this year. :)

Is this a hobby project? Working to deadlines is for 25-year-olds. For the last 50 years I have simply refused to answer any question which begins with the word "when".

cheers,

Martin.

Not exactly a hobby. It's for a passel of mechanical engineers, so measures & deadlines & project reviews are all part of the landscape. They cannot think in any other modality.

Again, many thanks.

Changing any setting like this in the project will be ignored if you are using a skin, since everything available in the skin replaces all corresponding elements, templates and settings in the project.

In Toolbox the settings are in the HTML Settings section: TOC 1-Click Expand, TOC Auto-Collapse, TOC Auto-Expand.
