A small but frequent annoyance to me now that I've switched to HMv7:
With HTML generation, if the path to the template is not correct the generation stops with a clear "Error" in the publishing tasks list.
With PDF generation, if the path to the template is not correct, generation defaults to using the standard sample template.
You could argue that its not a serious problem as people should always check their PDFs after generation. But as an example, I have one project that outputs 16 PDFs from one project where it is 20 minutes before I get to see I've generated 16 incorrect PDFs and have to correct and rerun everything.

Update: This will be included in the next maintenance release. Then you will get the same type of error message for PDF templates not found as for WebHelp skins.
