Hi,
We are thinking about providing one of our translators with the basic version of H&M. We use the professional/server versions to create content. Our projects are linked to a style repository for styles and snippets.
The idea is to save a synced sibling project in hmxz-format and send it to the translator for translation in the basic version. I am not so much concerned about the external snippets, as they contain very little translatable text. But what about the styles? Will the project still look the same to the translator? Some of our styles have different purposes in the published layout. It might get messy if the translator accidently confuses styles. If the hmxz-copy can't access the repository, will all styles in that copy be lost/look alike?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Saving in HMXZ format when using style repositories
Hi Rob,
This is not a problem. If you have linked the styles the translator won't be able to edit them, but they will be in the project and so they will work fine (linked styles are actually in the project and get updated when they are updated in the repository). If they are imported they are entirely part of the project anyway, so that is also not a problem. Either way, the translator shouldn't be editing the styles anyway, so that is also not a problem.
