Different page layout within one document

Unread post by Tansy »

Is it possible to have two different page layouts within one document? For example, Chapter 1 has portrait layout and Chapter 2 has landscape layout. If possible, how do I do it? I need it in PDF output

Hi Tansy,

This is not currently supported. It may be added in a future version, but that will not be in the short term. The problem here is the need to produce multiple output formats from one source. If Help+Manual was a single-format tool like Word or Acrobat it would be very easy. Then you just change formats as you go along. It is different when you have a generic source for multiple formats: Then you need to find a way to do things like this without interfering with the other formats for which it wouldn't be relevant, and without making the operation too confusing. :?

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your response.
Is it possible to change the page layout for the entire document though?

Yes, of course. See Designing a Template > Master Page and Background in the Manual Designer help for instructions. :)
