Problem with italics in .pdf

Problem with italics in .pdf

HI
I have a sentence set in Normal style.
I selected two words, and set them to Italics (separately).
The italicized words print in the .pdf offset several characters to the left.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Rob,

Have you updated to the current version of 7.4.1? This problem should actually already be solved.

I am using 7.4.4603.
(I changed the Italics to Bold and moved on. Violating my own style guide, but deadlines are more important!)

Which font are you using that is producing this effect? You can most likely solve the problem by adjusting the font embedding settings. Switching to Type3 embedding should always fix it, at the cost of very slightly less sharp text in the PDF, for example. Otherwise we'd really like to see a small demo project so that we can find out what's going on here. Just mail it to me at support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @). 8)

HI
Loaded the latest build, problem is still occurring.
I had my 'Normal' style set to a Univers font in the project's repository.
It was urgent that I got something ou t today, so I changed the Repository back to Ariel, and the problem went away.
But Univers is the corporate font, so I'd like to get back to it if possible!
