Problem with subversion commit.

Unread post by simonsurfer »

Hi,
I have problems with subversion commit.
WhenI click Synchronize Svn button, H+M wants to commit all unversioned files, even if
they are added to subversion ignore list. How can we configure H+M to ignore some files (for example
complete __history folder)?

Thank you simon

Hi Simon,

By default Help+Manual will commit everything in your project folder and this can't be disabled. Among other things, this makes it possible to include your graphics file folders in your project folder and add files to it without having to take any manual actions to include them.

The history function is disabled as soon as a project is linked to SVN, so the history folder will only be a stub anyway. You can safely delete its contents with the Tortoise SVN functions in Windows Explorer while the project is closed, if you wish to remove it from the repository. Then the files will be gone and nothing else will be added since the history is disabled in SVN projects. :)
