Compatible Tortoise SVN / Collabnet for H&M 7.5.3

Unread post by Sue McDonald »

Hi. I am trying to move Help and Manual onto a new laptop and have successfully installed H&M 7.5.3 and then the latest Tortoise SVN release V1.13.1.
I am getting an error when I open any of the my existing files which says I need a compatible Collabnet Command Line client. There seem to be a few old posts on this topic but what is the latest advice please. Do I need to install a different Tortoise SVN version?
Please can you send some instructions/links for the correct steps.
Thanks.

This is an annoying situation. The problem is that both Tortoise and Collabnet are de-emphasizing the 32-bit components. Also, Collabnet is now always somewhat behind Tortoise on the release schedule, so you need to get the current Collabnet component first and then match the Tortoise release to it.

The "current" Collabnet release for the 32-bit runtime tools is now on a different page:

https://www.collab.net/downloads/svn-other

You ONLY need the 32-bit command line tools, which is a tiny installation. This is currently on 1.11.1 and you need to get the matching Tortoise release for it here:

https://osdn.net/projects/tortoisesvn/storage/

We apologize for this inconvenience, unfortunately it is out of our control. :-/

I also tried the route given in https://www.helpandmanual.com/help/hm_a ... nents.html and https://www.helpandmanual.com/news/2016 ... toise-svn/ and had no success. It would be good to update these pages to the new URLs
