I've generated a large manual into a chm file. All looks well, I can search for content, it produces a valid list of results in thge left pane to topics that I can access via the Contents, but there is no way to jump to the searched result? I click on it, double click, right pane remains blank?
Thanks,
Chris

Re: chm Search tab finds results, but can't jump to them
Hi Chris,
After selecting a search result in a CHM, try clicking the Display button above (or sometimes below) the results.
CHM has a very old clunky interface.
cheers,
Martin.

Thanks Martin, that wasn't working either.
The problem was that the CHM I was viewing was on a mapped metwork drive. search jumps don't work if that's the case apparently, a copy of the chm file on my local disk works fine!!!!
Thanks,
Chris

CHM is now really a local format only. Windows blocks all access to it on network and external drives.chris were wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 4:27 amThe problem was that the CHM I was viewing was on a mapped metwork drive. search jumps don't work if that's the case apparently, a copy of the chm file on my local disk works fine!!!!
