Hello,
first of all: We still use Help & Manual 7.
I would like to add program code to our documentation. The program code is a "own" programming language ("QlikView"), which is a mixture of several languages. Therefore the highlighting is also an own one.
Now my question:
Can we import our own syntax highlighting options in the form of an XML file?
I have always formatted the individual code elements by hand so far (colors, bold, etc.)...
Many thanks in advance,
Marie

Re: Using a xml file for syntax highlighter
Hi Marie,
Sorry, the syntax highlighter doesn't support importing settings like this.

Hi Tim,
very sad. Do you have an idea how we could solve the problem without the need to manually adapt the program code every time?

Re: Using a xml file for syntax highlighter
Hi Marie,
When you define your own syntax highlighters with the custom options the settings are retained in the program. The same applies to any customization you enter for existing languages. You don't have to reset them every time. The settings you can make there within the program are the limits of the customization for this, however.
