Hi.
IM trying to use Tahoma font in help and manual and have found there to be some odd issues with the way it exports to PDF - if you use italics, it seems to offset the text to the left compared to the text box, meaning that the first few letters get cut off or merge into the non italic text.
Is this is a bug in the software? And if so is it possibly fixed in version 8? We are thinking of updating in any case.

Re: Tahoma font issues
Hi John,
Tahoma is an incomplete font set. It doesn't have its own italic typefacefe and so Windows emulates italics by distorting the letters. In PDF, which is really just raw printer data in a file, that often shifts the spacing and kerning incorrectly. The only real solution for that is not to use Tahoma or other incomplete font sets with italics in PDF. Replace it with a font that has its own italic version.
