Hi!
I am using a template to create a doc document.
The TOC is not created immediately automatically. You need to update the table, then TOC appears. What am I doing wrong?
Here's what I see in the resulting .doc file. If I update this table, the table of contents will appear. But I want to see the table of contents right away, I don't want to do an update.

Re: TOC in MS Word
You are not doing anything wrong, this is normal. That is how the TOC works in any Word document. It is a placeholder field that is populated from the chapter headings in the document when it is updated. The TOC is not created immediately automatically. When you publish from Help+Manual and open the DOCX document for the first time in Word automatically after publishing you will see a button in Word that will do this updating automatically, using the macro file that is generated together with the Word document.
