When I wish to share a link to my site on FB, I get a mysterious image referring to the URL
headed Error Page. The link does work OK, but it is off-putting for it to be headed like that.
Can anything be done about that? Am I doing something wrong? The page in question is at
http://www.lexically.net/downloads/vers ... lding.html and I'm using a Responsive skin (3.30).

Re: Facebook Share
Hi Mike,
I just tested this and it has nothing to do with the skin itself. Facebook is interpreting your URL and for some reason your URL is being flagged as the property of Codify Design Studio. You can test this by trying to post a link to the Premium Pack's own help, which works fine:

Re: Facebook Share
It's picking up something from my Error page, Tim. I can edit the source for that, but what mystifies me still is why FB needs to throw a 404 if I paste a link. Could it be a difference between a reference to http://www.lexically... and http://lexically... do you think? I just select the URL in the address bar to copy for pasting into FB.

Hi Mike,
Sorry, but I really have no idea here. Do you have any association with the compay/website referenced in the 404 message?

Re: Facebook Share
Yes, LEXICALLY.NET is my site and where I post Help pages. The words Design Studio etc are to be found in the Dreamweaver template for my Error page. What seems to be happening is the link I paste is making Facebook show info about my Error page, I assume throwing a 404. But then FB does show the page required. (I don't actually need Facebook to show anything except the URL but it does seem to paste an icon or wording from the meta description section of the page linked to, every time I paste any URL.) So I'm wondering whether it might be the presence or absence of www that makes a difference here?

Re: Facebook Share
I think the truth is the WWW DOES make a difference. (But FB once it knows about a post won't let go of the WWW-marked URL.) Not a problem of H&M I think.
