Selecting spotlights

Unread post by Martin Wynne »

To select a spotlight, it is necessary to click anywhere on the slide -- except on the spotlight.

Likewise, if you want to select the background capture image, it is necessary to click on the spotlight, not anywhere else on the slide.

This may be logical if you think of the spotlight as a mask with a hole in it. But it's very counter-intuitive if you just want to select a spotlight to move it or change its size. Other objects are selected by clicking directly on them.

I suggest that clicking anywhere on a spotlighted slide (other than on some other object) selects the spotlight/mask, and to select the background image, maybe Ctrl-click or Alt-click, or perhaps only via the Objects list?

cheers,

Martin.
