Editing text in a callout

Unread post by Kai »

Editing text in a callout is suffering from a couple of bugs.

I expect them to be known, is this correct?

Well, we'd need to hear what you are experiencing to be able to know that... 8)

Tim, I am just asking whether you've logged any bugs regarding editing text in a callout in your event tracker ;)

If that number is zero or one then I will make an effort, because it appears I found two bugs. If you have logged two or more bugs I would wait for them to get fixed and then check.

Tim?! (The "Minimum number of characters is 5" thing can be annoying!)

Hi Kai,

I've asked the developers and they too are waiting for a concrete bug report from you... 8)

Okay, I've uploaded a file TypingText.mp4 demonstrating the three bugs I can reproduce at will. It might also provide a useful hint regarding a bug I've run into several times but which I cannot reproduce at will.

Can't see the uploaded file anywhere, I hope you can

Well, we'd be able to see it if you told us where you uploaded it -- for example you could send us a download link via email at support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @) 8)

If you're trying to upload to the forum with the Upload Attachment feature it looks like you didn't finish the process. Using the "Add the file" button only gives you access to the file. You then need to use one of the other options to actually insert a link to it in your post.

I finished the upload on both occasions. It gives me percentages regarding the upload of the file. After reaching 100% I am back on the list but I cannot see the message I've associated with the upload. Something does not work as it should is my guess.

Anyway, Ive uploaded it to DropBox, the link is https://www.dropbox.com/s/nwf76m3j564a1 ... t.mp4?dl=0

Hi Kai,

Thanks for posting. I can reproduce these issues and they will be addressed. Unfortunately, sind you didn't post them last week when you originally found them, you've missed the opportunity to get a fix into the current maintenance update, which was released over the weekend. :?

Tim, that's great. None of them is a showstopper, it's just a bit annoying, so it's something I can live with for a while.

However, you should look into the "Upload file" feature of the Forum, something is not right there.
