HelpXplain 1.1 Beta 2 with Audio Support

Unread post by Alexander Halser » Wed Sep 04, 2019 5:29 pm

The audio support in HelpXplain is complete.

If you want to give it a try, download the beta version from:
https://www.helpandmanual.com/download/ ... p-v110.exe

In comparison to the first 1.1 beta version, this new build includes audio objects with a styled HTML player. Audio objects (both MP3 files and recorded voice-overs) can be either invisible (and play through an animation automatically) or they can be visible at runtime, featuring a simple play/pause button with a progress indicator. Audio objects can now be styled as well, you can change their background and foreground color as well as their size and position.

Another new audio option is to reduce the volume of all other sounds while a particular object is playing. This is great for voice-overs when you run a background audio at the same time. The background audio will play at its default volume at start. When the voice-over sets in, background audio (and all other currently playing sounds) are reduced by the reduction value. Once the voice-over has finished, the volume is put back to normal.

For a styled HTML player control, check out the last slide in this presentation.
