Best practice: Show animated software element in HelpXplain project

Unread post by markusflow »

Hi all,

what is the best way to show some animated actions in an HelpXplain project, let's simply say a progress bar.
Is this possible? E.g. integrating a already existing video oder an animated gif?

Or is there any other solutions to display some animated pictures within a HelpXplain project?
Thanks, Markus

Hi Markus,

You can insert an animated GIF but you'd have to make it yourself. Video objects may be added in a future release. At the moment, one of the main benefits of HelpXplain is that it isn't video. If you can live with the restrictions of that you get massively increased speed, flexibility and editability.

Thanks Tim. I tested an animated GIF but didn't get it work. Will try again.

I totally agree on the main benefits. Thanks for your reply.

It may be a problem with the specific GIF. I just re-tested with one I made with Photoshop and it worked fine. 8)
