Is HelpXplain XML documented?
Is HelpXplain XML documented? I'm thinking of making an automated generator for something.

Re: Is HelpXplain XML documented?
Hi Simon,
The XML is a proprietary format, it is not officially documented. An automated generator might be difficult to build, because an .xplain file contains ready-to-export static snapshots of all slides. They are used for preview, as poster images when Help+Manual exports an Xplain and for printing. These static snapshots have to be readily available inside the Xplain/ZIP file, the command line compiler does not recreate them.

Re: Is HelpXplain XML documented?
Thanks for the info.
I wasn't thinking of generating the final xplain, just doing the preparatory grunt work of assembling materials, ready for fine tuning in the editor. Would the editor be able to open a file that didn't contain these static snapshots, and then create them when the project is saved?
