Undo in Project Explorer

Unread post by Ga Bowen »

I've just accidentally cut a load of topic files by using Ctrl+X as I thought I was in the topic editor.

There is no way to undo this except to close the project and lose all work.

Is this something that can be added to the wishlist?

Hi Gareth,

Unfortunately undo is currently not supported in the Project Explorer and adding it would be extremely involved. It is definitely something that is known, however... :?

OK, cheers.

99% of the time it happens when I Ctrl+X accidently.

It would be OK if pasting the topics back in didn't produce a (2) after all the names.

This only happens if those topics also exist in other locations, for example in a secondary TOC. Since HM can only assume that you are pasting new topics it changes the topic IDs (= topic filenames) to avoid conflicts.
