I would like to use the DeepL Plugin and thus have set up an account for the DeepL API (a free account, which seems to be a rather new option; it allows you to translate 500.000 characters per month, which is probably enough in most cases).
However, when I click the "Translate" button, the following error message appears: "The text could not be translated. Your API key may no longer be valid."
My guess is that the free API uses a different domain, becaus in DeepL it says: Make sure to use the correct API domain: api-free.deepl.com
Is there any way to use the Plugin in combination with this API domain?

Re: Free DeepL API key not accepted
Hi Marc,
We'll check into this, but I do know that only API keys are accepted for this. It may be that these free keys are different in some way.

Re: Free DeepL API key not accepted
Hi Marc,
The new free API keys, as it turns out, are required to use a different URL.
It is https://api-free.deepl.com instead of https://api.deepl.com.
To use a free API key, you need an update of Help+Manual. We have implemented a configuration for the base URL today.
Check out build 5836:
https://www.helpandmanual.com/download/ ... p-v832.exe
