Hi Tim,
We could set (in v5) shadows and and other settings like the algoritm to use.
Are these options gone or have I missed something.

Yes, some capturing options are gone in the new tool, but it also has some powerful new capabilities. See the topic on the new screen capture tool here:

In addition to this you can continue to use the screen capture in the Impict Image Editor, where you can then edit the captures and add all those components (run the installer again and choose that you want to install Impict if you find that you don't have it). In addition to this, you can get all the features of the old capture tool in the free standalone TNT screen capture, which you can download here:

Just don't start the old "Wizard" because that will try to run a WinHelp component, which doesn't work on current versions of Windows. If it appears on startup select the options and turn off the "Always display the Wizard" option.
The new capture tool is a subset of the new HelpXplain screencasts and animated infographics program, which you can learn about here:
