Hi all,
I was hoping you would be able to help me with this conundrum.
My colleague received a 2 page pdf which has occasional italics in the document.
But when he prints, only some of the italics print. eg. a whole section is italics but it's every other line that prints italics.
I had a quick look on the internet and some of them suggest updating the driver. But unfortunately we can't just install drivers on the pc due to company policy and security. (even if I wanted to, it's all greyed out).
I then read a bit that said that I should try printing as image - which 'almost' works, but there is still some text not printing in italic (this time, just a couple of words in the remaining document, not the paragraph).
The font however (after a long struggle of trying to figure out) appears to be Myriad Pro - thanks to HM for telling me that, as Word didn't want to
I'm now thinking it's the font - although I 'think' I have it installed.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Silly me.. I never even realised I can just look at the properties to see the font...
doesn't help me much though - yet.

Heidi, how about trying different PDF printing software? I've noticed that Acrobat Reader and PDF-XChange Viewer render some PDF documents differently.

Nitro is now my preferred free PDF reader as it allows the original full-resolution images to be extracted from a PDF and saved as normal image files. Very handy.
regards,
Martin.

Thank you all for your replies.
I downloaded Nitro, and that works perfect!
It is quite annoying that a document that has been worked at to look perfect on screen, looks nothing like that on the printout. Silly Adobe. (I'm sure they are to blame).
Thank you again
