Hi all,
This is something I noticed in H&M, but I don't think it's an H&M related question. But thought I'd ask in case somebody has come accross this before.
When writing new manuals, I normally see if there is any documentation out there and sometimes copy and paste the information.
I have done just that, from a Word document.
I always have the Paragraph and Text Mark option enabled, so I noticed a strange symbol, which I can't seem to get rid of!
See image.
This little number 2, disappears if I delete the next paragraph (this was a heading), but as soon as I press Enter, it displays again.
This is nothing that I can't copy again or type manually to get rid of, but I was just interested to see what this might mean. I have even consulted the Oracle (google) and couldn't find anything straight away.
Thanks

Curiouser and curiouser..
I just copied the text back from H&M to Word, and that symbol is not there?
It's these little things (that most likely doesn't affect anything in my life), that I HAVE to find out more.

Re: Paragraph & Text Marks - circled 2?
It seems that whatever happens to put the number there, disappears as soon as I navigate away from the topic.
When I come back, the number is replaced by a black square.
My only assumption is that this is a paragraph number.
What I found was that you do get the Pilcrow followed by a number if the paragraph is split with a page break (or something like that).
Crisis averted!
(hope somebody had some enjoyment reading this babble. )

Hi Heidi,
The numbers definitely aren't from HM. It is probably something you're copying from Word, like footnote references or something like that, which HM doesn't import. Whatever it is, it will get flushed the next time you update the topic. That's why it disappears when you return to the topic.
