Poll: Do you use 64-bit Windows?

Unread post by Hendrik »

At the Frontpage of H&M forum, you can fill out a Poll with question: "Do you use 64-bit Windows?"
I do want to "vote", but W7 64 bit is not on the list? ;-)

This poll is actually out of date as Help & Manual 5 is now fully-compatible with 64-bit Windows for Vista and W7. (The 64-bit version of XP is so troublesome that we don't really consider it and we can't recommend it to anyone with a good conscience.)

When I'm back home from Seattle I'm going to have to think up a new poll to replace this one... 8)

Just reverse the question and track the demise of 32 bit Windows.

e.g. most of Dell's advertising includes 64 bit Windows 7 these days.

How quickly and seamlessly seachanges occur in IT.

Yes, although at least over here in Europe I'm still amazed at how many vendors are still pre-installing 32-bit Windows by default, even on machines with 4 and 6GB of memory, which could really be considered negligent misconfiguration -- but most people probably aren't noticing it, sigh... :?
