UPDATE: Critical bug in Help Context Tool (Version 3.31)

We have detected a critical bug in the help context tool in Help & Manual
version 3.31 and recommend to download the update to version 3.31
build 904 which includes a patch for this bug.

The bug may convert user defined text variables and conditional text
markers to plain text. The change is irreversible if you change the
modified help project and would require you to re-insert the text
variables and text markers manually!

The bug occurs under the following circumstances:

• When you delete a range of or all help context numbers
• When you assign new help context numbers
• It changes custom text variables (not predefined variables) into plain text in all topics that are affected by the help context number change.
• It deletes conditional text in all topics that are affected by the help context number change.


We recommend to download the update to version 3.31 build 904
which includes a patch for this bug. The update is available from the
registered users page.
