Good news for all our North American customers: The API license needed to use the DeepL machine translation plugin in Help+Manual and HelpXplain is now also available in the USA for just $5.49 per month.
The license is referred to as DeepL Pro. Here is the DeepL announcement:
https://www.deepl.com/blog/20200504.html
You can order the new DeepL Pro license on this page:
https://www.deepl.com/pro#developer
In addition to the monthly fee there is also a charge for translation volume. However, the amounts here are so generous that it would be difficult to exceed $10 per month in total.

Re: DeepL available in USA and Canada!
This is most cool. And very timely. So the procedure is for our company to license 1 seat of DeepL Pro API?
It took me a while, but I found the H+M8 help for how to use DeepL in H+M: https://helpandmanual.com/help/gf_inter ... ml?q=deepl
You might want to update the language list there: DeepL now includes Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese in addition to English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, and Polish.

Re: DeepL available in USA and Canada!
Hi Dave,
Yes, that's correct, provided only one person uses it at any one time. And thanks for the reminder about the additional languages that have now been added. As a professional translator for many years myself I still never cease to be astounded at the quality of the DeepL translations -- sometimes it's almost creepy. And I'm very very glad that I no longer depend on translation for my livelihood!
