Help+Manual 8.2 has just been released with a couple of new features and quite a few fixes for issues reported by users. The DeepL machine translation now also includes a distinction between American and British English, Brazilian and Portuguese and adds Japanese and Chinese Simplified to the language list. It also has new features for protecting passages of text, words and phrases against translation. Users behind a proxy server can now enter the settings for their proxy so that the Help+Manual 8 license server can be reached without problems. This is particularly helpful for users with floating licenses.
See this blog posting for full details:

You can download the new installer on the regular download page:

We recommend that all users update as soon as possible.

Re: Help+Manual 8.2 Released
Thanks for the update, Tim.
One question for this new feature:
Thanks, Markus
One question for this new feature:
Currently, we are inserting external HTML files via the snippet function. Should we update our projects and re-insert the HTML files via this new dialog or is there no difference in the end.Insert HTML Code dialog: this dialog now has dedicated support for static HTML code, merge of external HTML files and web URLs.
Thanks, Markus

No, because inserting HTML code with the Code Object tool really inserts the raw HTML in your output and only works in HTML-based output formats. Code Objects are ignored in DOCX and PDF. Snippets work in all output formats and insert the formatted Help+Manual XML topic code.markusflow wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 9:23 am Currently, we are inserting external HTML files via the snippet function.
