If you have Help & Manual 4 installed already, you can install the update over the existing installation (it is not required to uninstall first, as the setup detects the installed version).
How to check for updates about Help & Manual
Help & Manual 4 has a built-in update function. Just click Help > Check for Update to find out if an updated build is available.
Bug fixes and changes in build 678:
- In certain cases, the evaluation version inserted garbage characters at the bottom of each topic, when compiling a help file. This problem did not appear in the registered version.
- PDF Export: images were distorted or black in some cases
- PDF Export: images placed on the master background were printed in front of the keyword index
- PDF Export: the page numbering for the topic section was wrong with a certain template configuration: if no "top-level-intro" was used and blank pages were printed in the PDF and page numbers were to reset at the topic section, the topics section started with page number 2 instead of 1.
- HTML Help: links from secondary help windows to topics in the main help window were displayed in the secondary window
- HTML Help: if the "default topic" was not listed in the table of contents, it was ignored and the first topic was used as the default.
- HM3 project converter: an error occured if automatic table concatenation was switched on and a table had merged columns.
