Standalone and resizable Topic Options
I would love to see standalone topic options (as a seperate window) instead of just either next to the content or in a seperate tab.
Furthermore, it would be great to be able to resize the topic options pane.

Re: Standalone and resizable Topic Options
Hi Tobias,
Topic Options used to be undockable in earlier versions of HM but some technical changes has made it impossible for the time being. It may return in a future version.

That feature would save me so many headaches for me it would be a "major" feature for a new release.

Don't forget you can have the editor and topic options side-by-side. Click the cogwheel icon for the menu.

Martin.

I have them side by side, but the topic options are wayyyyyyyyy too narrow.

Bigger monitor? Two monitors? I would now refuse to work on a system with only one monitor -- I work on two 24" monitors in the office and I always take a portable USB monitor with me when I'm working on the road with a laptop.Tobias Escher wrote:I have them side by side, but the topic options are wayyyyyyyyy too narrow.

Re: Standalone and resizable Topic Options
Three monitors, actually
The project explorer can be resized and undocked, all well.
The topic options can neither be resized, nor undocked and are far too narrow here.
I have attached a screenshot. Simply being able to resize the topic options would already help tremendously.

Re: Standalone and resizable Topic Options
Hi Tobias,
To be honest, I'd never noticed that Topic Options width couldn't be changed. Side-by-side is one of the settings I never use personally. I'll ask if it can be made resizeable.

Hi Tim,
that'd be awesome!
It would help especially with topic variables which are heavily truncated now even with short variables

Hi Tim,
did you have a chance to talk to the developers about this?
I'd SO MUCH appreciate resizable topic options!

Re: Standalone and resizable Topic Options
They are working on this, among other things, but the component used for the windows makes adjusting the widths of all the elements it contains very tricky. We're not going to release it until those problems are solved, and that may take a while. We can't provide any kind of target date at the moment, sorry...Tobias Escher wrote:did you have a chance to talk to the developers about this?
