Checkbox to turn off Splash Screen

Under customise, I would like a checkbox to turn off the H&M splash screen.

Yes it is beautiful, but I have been remote controlling my PC from home, as the wife is sick, and the splash screen takes ages to load even with Cable at home and a 2 mb link at work.
