non-line-breakable hyphen/dash

It would be nice to be able to insert a 'special hyphen' into a word which does not allow the word to be broken as a line-break at that point (like the CTRL><SHIFT><-> in MS Word). We have many acronyms and technical terms in our manuals which contain hyphens but which look very strange when broken up!

I'll second the request.

I too have many technical terms that are hyphenated and when split across lines loose their readability.

Yes, I agree, <CTRL><SHIFT><-> or similar is indeed needed.
And, when we're at it, why not add <CTRL><SHIFT>< > as a shortcut to ALT+0160 (non-breaking space)...
