New course in Technical Writing using Help + Manual

Unread post by Subash SL »

Hello friends, I am Subash and I launched my course "How to become an awesome Technical Writer with Help + Manual" on teachable this December. Having used Help + Manual more than any of the other HATs, in the course I teach a fairly good amount of Help and Manual besides fundamentals of Technical Writing. If you or anyone you know is interested in learning Technical Writing or wants to become a Technical Writer, then this is the course for you. You may follow this link to the course.

Hello Subash,

Thank you for the information! We posted a link in our news blog as well:
http://news.helpandmanual.com/2016/12/l ... nd-manual/

This is an online class consisting of several dozens of video tutorials and you can view the class curriculum with free preview videos at http://learn-technical-writing-fast.tea ... elp-manual

@Subash: Please tell us a bit more details about the course! Feel free to post the headings of the class curriculum here with a brief description what each chapter includes. Is the price of $225 final or will there be a "holiday season offer"?

Thank you Alexander for your queries and for you interest. Here are all the answers. By the way, yes, there will be a Christmas and New Year offer where I will be offering the course for $199.

Anyway to answer your questions about the curriculum. The emphasis is on Technical Writing and how Help + Manual can be the only HAT one will ever need to become a productive and skillful Technical Writer. Here is what is covered in the course -

Technical Writing - The essential Rules of Technical Writing Grammar and Style. Not a load of English Grammar but the most important rules related to Technical Writing. Also the most common mistakes of English Grammar that Technical Writers make are discussed. How to approach a Technical Writing project is also clearly explained. How to understand functionality of an application and how to gather details and flesh out the project is also explained. Most of these functions are critical to a Technical Writing project but they are ignored. Plus I also discuss several tips and tricks that'll make you a super productive Technical Writer. Having been a freelancer since 2006 I give a peek into how one can become a successful freelancer too. Most of the lessons are explained via videos. You'll progress great if you also took the accompanying assignments.
