If a rounded rectangle or ellipse is selected in the Shape Tool,
and the border colour is set to white (e.g. for use on a dark or
coloured background), the shape tool fails to trim the image
to shape at the corners.

This is happening because the fill function can't find an edge. You can solve the problem quite easily and invisibly by setting the border color to "almost white" -- e.g. R255, G255 B254.
