Anchors are visible

Unread post by MicroActive »

I don't know if this is a bug or my misunderstanding but anchors appear to be visible in MMHelp and PDF files.

Hi... can you provide a few details? How visible, what do they look like? :)

If I call the anchor #HelloWorld, the text #HelloWorld appears in both the MMHelp and pdf document as visible text.

If I understand you correctly you're marking the text "HelloWorld" in the topic and defining it as an anchor. This will always be visible because it is still text, just like a jump link to another topic.

To make an invisible anchor don't enter any text for it. Instead, just enter a # character in the Caption box. This will appear as a green highlighted # in H&M but it will be invisible in all output. 8)
