Accidental Paste causes crash.

Unread post by a.rose »

I have found that if tables are accidently pasted from the
clipboard in to another cell - the system will produce an
error msg. If more than one cell was in the clipboard,
the error msg. will appear repeatedly. Closing these
respawing msgs. has caused H&M to crash, (Applicaton
Not Responding).

Is this of use to you?

Which operating system do you use?
I cannot break Help & Manual by pasting a table. It tells the error message as it should but continues to work stable.

Reproduce Crash - Win2000PRO

Unread post by a.rose »

After reading your message I tried to reproduce
the crash I described above. Sadly, i succeeded.

Running H&M under Win2000 Pro. / SPIII I copied
a template document page consisting of a .bmp
graphic as a header followed by an empty table
construct consisting of quite some cells.
Pasting this content into one of the cells will produce
numerous error messages, one for every line or
cell, I guess.

Now getting rid of the first few (ten or so) spawning
messages, is not the problem. (Why spawn them
anyway?!) After closing the window another few
times, H&M fails to respond and has to be killed via
the taskmanager.

I would really like to take a look at this topic. Please copy the topic to a new project (if you copy it via copying the TOC item, does it fail as well?) and send the project to support@ec-software.com. Thanks!
