Microsoft HTML Help Workshop

Unread postby Scott Fergus » Mon Dec 22, 2008 9:52 pm

Hi,

I am looking for a place to download Microsoft HTML Help Workshop other than the Microsoft website. For some reason every time I try to download it, the request times out. A quick search shows a number of other options but they all point to the Microsoft download site.

Any ideas on where I can go?

Thanks.

That is the only reliable source. You can try googling but unless you really know where you are getting it you may get some nasty additional ballast as well, or the wrong version. The link on our website will get you the correct version and this is a reliable download. If it doesn't work you are probably having problems with a badly-configured corporate or ISP proxy server. Then the only solution is to either wait until the cache clears (how long this takes depends on how the proxy is configured) or download from a different location.

And have you tried using a "download manager"?
