Are we allowed to post links to some of your competitor products to specific videos of features they have that we wish to suggest for Help and Manual 5?
I wanted to ask first as I know some forums do not like outbound links to competing products.
Specifically we are looking for better snippet and widget handling.
It seems it would be beneficial to have some widgets already built into the software such as:
- Notes
- Tips
- Code block
- etc.
These are basically predefined code snippets with styles. I know we can create these manually but it is a bit tedious. Also right now to add a snippet it takes multiple clicks. It would be great if we had a docked list of snippets/widgets where we could simply drag drop.
This would make more sense if I could post the links to the videos. Let me know.

Re: New features
Hi,
Great, thanks for being understanding about the videos. Keep in mind I am only trying to help progress Help and Manual.
Here is the first one:
http://www.innovasys.com/movies/viewmov ... 793b4d9249
What I like about this vs Help & Manual which should help feedback wise:
- It is nice to be able to simply drag/drop the snippets to the content of the topic
- It is also nice to be able to select part of the topic and drag it to the dockable snippets box to automatically create a snippet
Here is the second one (Subversion source control):
http://www.innovasys.com/movies/viewmov ... 5c652e2155
- We use subversion for our other program files so this would help and I've seen it requested here on the forum also
Here is the third one:
http://www.innovasys.com/movies/viewmov ... 5ae329241c
- I know this is fairly similar to snippets but kind of liked the idea of the prepackaged notes, tips, code block widgets making it easier to get started out of the box
Here is the fourth one:
http://www.innovasys.com/movies/viewmov ... 7d3af5a889
- This style editor seems to be well laid out and easier to navigate.
If you need any more feedback on these please let me know.

Re: New features
Hi DPMan,
It would be helpful if you could post this to the Wish List section of the forum. The developers have all subscribed to that section so they will then see the posting automatically. In the normal section it's less likely that they will all see it.
