There is a topic in the H&M forum titled "Blank lines when using Conditional text" that was started by abir » Tue Jul 07, 2009 8:01 pm.
It has to do with the appearance of unwanted blank lines in the output when conditional text statements (IF, ELSE, etc.) are used. Tim Green nicely explained how to achieve most of what I would like, but it seems that the conditional statements could function in a more friendly manner.
Would it possible to change how the conditionals operate such that they can occupy separate lines in the editor, but have no paragraph effects on the output. They would only have the effect of separating blocks. This would allow the logic structure of the conditionals to be much more readable in the H&M editor.
Given that existing projects may rely on the current behavior, perhaps there could be two types of conditionals or a means of converting the old ones with paragraph effects into the new ones without.
Thank you.
