PDF TOC generating blank page

Unread post by Ga Bowen »

When I generate a pdf the TOC is generating an extra blank page.

If I miss out any topic from the build then the blank page disappears.

Ignore Blank Pages in PDF file is selected.

It feels like the text is pushing a blank space over to the next page or something similar.

Any help would be appreciated.

Solved it.

I reduced the size of the Table of Contents Summary box under the Table of Contents tab in the Print Manual Designer.

I'm not sure why this works or why I tried it, but it does.

I'd delete the topic but I would like to know what the Table of Contents Summary actually does.

Thanks. :)

Hi Ga,

All the objects in the table of contents section will get included in the TOC, even if they are empty, unless you reduce their height to 0. The summary is just an additional space at the end of the TOC for the insertion of additional items. It exists even if it is empty, so it will add space at the end of the TOC and if that doesn't fit it will create another page for itself.
