If I link to a topic in another .chm file it gives a warning when publishing.
I used the first method as described in this topic: Display in the current helpviewer, with the Edit Hyperlink dialog.
When publishing I get the following warning for every link:
The link "Linkname" in topic TopicID is assumed to point to HTML Help file helpfile.chm
Is it possible to avoid these warnings when publishing? I want to make a lot more links between the two files and it really clutters up truely important warnings.
The .chm-files are in the same directory.
I tried to point to the helpfile in the topic link dialog in 3 different ways:
..\..\source\Directory\bin\helpfile.chm (this is the default way when I select the file with the button)
.\helpfile.chm
helpfile.chm
All 3 links work, but the warnings remain.
If the helpfile.chm is present or not in the directory makes no difference fot the appearance of the warnings.
What can I do?
Linking to a topic in another .chm file gives a warning

Re: Linking to a topic in another .chm file gives a warning
Hi Bregje,
This warning is just a reminder that those CHM files must be present for the links to work. They are not errors. You can control the contents of the compiler report in View > Program Options > Compilers. We strongly recommend that you don't leave warnings off all the time, and don't ever turn off error messages, even though you can...

No, I have no intention of turning of the errors!
Thanks for helping me out!
Now I will have to think about this, because I won't be seeing any warnings at all if I turn it of.
