My eyes get tired of white HnM bg, I've searched help, bud did not find the way to change it.

So, how to change bg color in HnM editor, but not in the output files.

Then you will see two color pickers for the background color of the text and header, which will also be displayed in the editor. This is a historical legacy function left over from the early days when Help+Manual only produced WinHelp and CHM and didn't have any skins at all, but it still works.
This is easy to do provided you're using skins for your HTML output. Open your project and then in the Project Explorer on the left navigate down to Configuration > HTML Page Templates > Default. If you see the source code on the right use the Reset Template button to reset to simple mode. (DON'T do this if you are actually using the template to publish without a skin, of course!!)So, how to change bg color in HnM editor, but not in the output files.
