Hey everyone!
Recently i've been working a lot with the search mechanism of help and manual and discovered, that sometimes if i search for a certain word, the results will be topic which shouldn't be displayed and the actual topic i've been looking for is somewhere at rank 4 or 5 of the search results.
Then i saw, that the "Terms matched" are rated higher than the "search score".
For example:
A topic with 3 Terms matched and a search score of 300 will be displayed higher than a topic with 2 terms matched and a search score of 1500.
Is there any possibility to change that? Because it would be better for my case if the topic with the higher search score would be displayed as the first result.
best regards
Simon

Re: improved/slightly changed search mechanism
Hi Simon,
You can't change the scoring and ranking in the bundled version of the Zoom search engine included with Help+Manual. However, HM also supports the standalone version that allows you to configure that and much more besides. You can get the standalone version from Wrensoft:
https://www.zoomsearchengine.com/
This topic in the help explains how to activate it in your projects:
https://helpandmanual.com/help/index.ht ... x_zoom.htm
In addition to this, you need to download this PDF that explains how to set up the Zoom configuration to work best with Help+Manual projects:
