Print topic with toggle expanded

Unread post by John Johann »

I set the options for toggles to "Print: expanded = YES; Help: Expanded = NO"
When I export to CHM / eWriter, the toggle is initially closed as expected.

When I print the topic, the toggle stays closed. I was under the impression that that worked in earlier versions -- have I inadvertently turned something off? The skins are variants on the CHM dark blue / WebHelp Responsive skins respectively.

Hi John,

The Print setting in the toggle configuration is for PDF and DOCX and eBooks, not for when you are printing from HTML-based formats. In CHM and WebHelp the toggles are only expanded automatically when you print if you are using a skin that includes functionality for expanding them on printing.

Is that a Premium Pack thing or can it be added to the afore-mentioned skins :-)

That should actually work in those skins, but only if you use their Print button. The Print option in the CHM viewer won't open the toggles -- the viewer doesn't know anything about them.
