Compilation Warnings With Custom Builds

Unread post by Olivier Beltrami »

Hi,

I am trying to clean-up some warnings about dead links that come due to a custom build (ie. the link target exists in the project, but is not included in that specific custom build).

When a link is really dead, the H&M UI shows it, which is great.

But when the warning is due to the target not being included in the custom build, then there is no visual clue, and clicking on the warning only takes one to the topic, not to the offending link.

Some of the warnings I get point to very long topics, such as https://www.qppstudio.net/webhelp_xv4/r ... s-2019.htm, and finding the problem link is almost impossible, particularly as the warning does not mention the text of the offending link, just the TopicID, and it is not possible to search for a TopicID within a topic (or is it possible?).

Ideally, clicking on the warning should take one to the offending link, but at least could the warning include the text of the link so we can search for it ?

Very best regards,

Olivier
